Winter Birds and Bird Feeders Demonstration or Workshop

This presentation explores local bird species, their call, their nesting habits and how we can support them with appropriate feeders, bird houses and environmental preservation.  Participants will have their sense of hearing and sight engaged with a variety of bird sounds and vibrant photos.  We will finish off by creating two types of bird feeders, one pinecone feeder and one citrus feeder, that can be hung outside the facility for some bird watching!

Workshop: Alternatively, this program can be done as a workshop, where at thend of the presentation, each participant creates a pinecone bird feeder that can be hung up in the back yard to encourage the joy of further bird watching throughout the winter.
